Finishing the second half (starboard) of the mast mold and making room in the shed.
Preparations for building (a mold for) a wing mast.
This 20 metre long table should make my life a little easier.
I drilled some holes in the boom for a foldable Wichard padeye. A purpose built, L-shaped, backing plate should keep it in place.
Started building the emergency tiller.
It consists of a left over piece of glassfibre tube and a stainless steel tube. The two will be connected by carbon fibre later.
Still needs fairing but this is enough to survive the winter. To be continued next summer.
Started work on the mold for the keel bulb (lead).
Hardware for outhaul, reefing points, gooseneck et cetera mounted on the boom. This way I will not be tempted to keep fairing and painting. I’ve settled for an industrial look ….
I took the carbon tiller home again to avoid damaging it.
